Training in the framework of the ComeHoMe project 4 & 5 September 2023


Major Development Agency Thessaloniki S.A., Organization for Local Development (MDAT S.A.) is the local partner (Thessaloniki, Greece that manages the project “Understanding and Combatting Intersectional discrimination in Housing for people with Migratory background – “Come HoMe” from the European Union fund, Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Program (CERV).”

The project aims to promote equality in the cities of Turin (Italy), DRC Italia (project leader) together with the Organization Mixed Migration Center (MMC), in Valletta (Malta), SOS Malta and in Thessaloniki (MDAT S.A.) together with the organization Fondazione Impact Housing (FIH) – Milan, Italy focusing on the right to housing. The program aims to better understand discrimination in the housing market through research and to create tools (strategies, etc.) to combat discrimination in the same market for people with a migratory background.

The SolidarityNow organization collaborates with MDAT S.A. on the research component, for the collection of data related to the possible discrimination faced by people with a migratory background in the city of Thessaloniki. For this reason, the training of researchers for the census was successfully carried out at the offices of the SolidarityNow organization by the Organization (MMC), also a partner in the above project. The duration of the project is from January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2024.
