MDAT S.A. and Local Housing Policies

MDAT S.A. and the Social Rental Agency of Thessaloniki (SRA) as its administrative unit has undertaken the role on behalf of the City of Thessaloniki the operationalization of the city-wide strategy for Social and Affordable Housing. The strategic aim is to actively support and intervene in an evidence-based manner so as to counter housing exclusion and to undertake actions with national and international funding for the socialization of the housing stock so as to create a critical mass of public social housing. Inter alia MDAT supports initiatives through technical know-how and in-kind support that promote the right to housing for a wide array of target groups such as tenants’ rights, cooperative housing, cohousing as well as advocacy activities at national level for holistic housing solutions.
